I have yet to meet someone who would not fall in love with my PASTILLAS DE LECHE! Ehem!!!
This is one of my treasured (of course, closely guarded, too) recipes, which I learned when I was still in high school, in the early sixties.
Making the pastillas has always been a labor of love. I give them away to people close to my heart. I feel happy when after the first bite, they keep on getting and eating more, pausing only to say, "Ang sarap naman, pahingi nga ulit." ("These are so delicious. May I have some more?").
When they ask me, how they are made, I have a ready answer - "SECRET".
So there - the next time you see me with a bag of pastillas, just keep on eating, they are free, but please don't ask me for the recipe. hahaha!
