My bestfriend, Leni DLS Larrazabal, invited the healing priest, Rev. Fr. Fernando Suarez, to Ormoc City, for ' A Moment of Grace and Healing.'
Fr. Suarez was already working as a licensed chemical engineer for five years, before he entered the seminary in Canada, where he was ordained to the priesthood at age 35. He hails from Taal, Batangas, where he 'discovered' his healing power at the age of 16. It was a gift that he tried to hide for so many years. Only upon the advice of his superiors did he use that gift to heal the faithful of their spiritual, physical, emotional and other kinds of affliction. He has brought his healing ministry to so many places all over the world.
Straight from a 2-day healing of thousands of devotees in Tacloban City, he came to Ormoc City on September 24 - 25, for a night and a day of healing. I was among the thousands who flocked to the Sts. Peter and Paul Church and the Ormoc Superdome. Healing masses, confession, vigil and healing were held in both venues. I witnessed 'miracle after miracle' as I personally knew some of those who, after being 'slained by the Holy Spirit' were healed.
"I AM ONLY AN INSTRUMENT OF THE LORD, IT IS HE WHO HEALS," Fr. Fernando Suarez would repeatedly tell the faithful, as he encouraged each and everyone to pray fervently to the LORD.
We are indeed so lucky to have been visited by the healing ministry of Rev. Fr. Fernando Suarez, which according to my bestfriend, started with her simple prayer, "Lord, please bring Rev. Fr. Fernando Suarez to Ormoc City." His coming was the first miracle.
